For more information on any of our mission and outreach efforts both local and abroad please contact the church office. There is always room for one more set of hands to serve and minister to those in need.

TEAM

TEAM is a non-profit ministry providing food to those in need. TEAM is located at 147 N. Chalkville Road, Trussville, AL. (Behind the Trussville Antique Mall). Hours are Monday and Friday from Noon - 2pm.

Holy Cross accepts non-perishable food items throughout the year to go to TEAM.

Food items needed: Pop Tarts, Instant Grits, Oatmeal, Canned Fruit, Crackers (Ritz and Saltine), Cooking Oil, Spaghetti Sauce, Condiments (Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup), Baking Supplies (Flour, Sugar, and Cornmeal in small bags), Jelly

Serving inner-city children since 2013, GraceWorks is a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, Woodlawn; a fully inclusive, broadly diverse parish in the Anglo-Catholic Tradition.

The Lovelady Center

The Lovelady Center is a faith-based, non-denominational residential facility dedicated to empowering women in need. The facility provides shelter, meals, childcare and a variety of rehabilitation services, including medical care and state-certified substance abuse counseling. Women are given the opportunity to advance their education, find sustainable jobs, and thrive in society as active and productive individuals. The Lovelady Center's mission is to restore hope and to help women rebuild their lives.

Sawyerville

Sawyerville is a ministry of the Diocese of Alabama. The mission is ministry to children and youth in Hale County, through free day camp and mentoring.


Episcopal Relief & Development

Episcopal Relief & Development works in collaboration with church partners and other local organizations to facilitate healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities that are struggling with hunger, poverty and disease. We also work around the world and here in the US responding to and rebuilding after disasters.

Our programs impact the lives of over 3 million people annually. We respect the dignity of all people and view them as our neighbors, working alongside participants regardless of religious affiliation or background.

Holy Cross Garden Ministry

Holy Cross Garden Ministry is currently working to become a part of the Episcopal Church’s Good News Garden. Good News Gardens is a church-wide movement of individuals, congregations, schools, colleges, seminaries, monasteries, camps and conference centers involved in a variety of food and creation care ministries – gardening, farming, beekeeping, composting, gleaning, feeding, food justice advocacy. The list goes on and on. Collectively Good News Gardens share their abundance, their prayers, and the Way of Love in their communities and beyond.

United Thank Offering

The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings and make an offering for each blessing using a UTO Blue Box. UTO is entrusted to receive the offerings, and distribute 100% of what is collected to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of The Anglican Communion.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree is a ministry to help families that need assistance with Christmas gifts. The Angel Tree is in the narthex beginning the Sunday before Thanksgiving. If you would like to participate, take an angel from the tree and please don’t forget to sign off on the master sheet indicating the angel you chose.
