Children’s church is offered for children, age 5 through age 12, during the 10:30 service on Sunday mornings. Our children begin in the “big church” with their family to participate in singing and the reading of scripture. They are then dismissed to engage in a children’s focused sermon based on the topics of the adult church service, but is presented in a more age appropriate manner. Children are encouraged to actively participate in and to lead the children’s church worship service in ways that are meaningful for them. They return to the main service to participate in communion together with their family.
3rd Sundays in 2019 - A time where Ancient meets Modern
In response to so many and as a part of the identity of Holy Cross we will be reintroducing the use of modern instrumentation during the 10:30 service on the 3rd Sundays of this year. The beauty of this service is that the music will be wrapped intentionally around our liturgical practices in a way that creates a wonder experience of worship where truly ancient meets modern.
The Choir of Holy Cross
Our choir, lead by music director Justin Finch, is an integral part of our regular 10:30 worship. They are always welcoming new members and lead on Sunday mornings from Labor day - Memorial day (approx) as well as during many of our special services throughout the year. Choir practice takes place on Tuesday at 6:30pm. If you are interested in learning more about the choir contact Justin.
The Flower Guild of Holy Cross is a group of ladies who love flowers, flower arranging, and Holy Cross church. A member of our Guild arranges flowers each week for our Sunday services.
We work closely with the Altar Guild on Easter, Christmas, the Bishop’s visit and all special occasions to make our church beautiful to the glory of God. We meet annually, as a group, for fellowship and to share designing techniques. If you have a gift of floral design or a love for this ministry, come join us.
